Pipeline fire doused

Specialist personnel from state oil monopoly Pemex put out a fire on Sunday, February 24 at an underground pipeline in eastern Jalisco where thieves had been stealing gas.

The fire began on Sunday afternoon in the municipality of Degollado, near the border with Guanajuato and Michoacan. Pemex staff managed to stop the blaze by cutting off supply to the stretch of pipeline designated “Cactus-Guadalajara,” from which criminals had been secretly pumping out petroleum.
