Twelve young women will compete for the Nuestra Belleza Jalisco crown at the Teatro Diana on Tuesday, July 30, 8 p.m.
Nine of the participants, who are all aged 19 to 23, are from Guadalajara. The victor will compete in Miss Mexico in Toluca in October, with the winner going on to represent the country in the Miss Universe contest in Moscow in December. Guadalajara resident Ximena Navarrete famously won the Miss Universe crown in 2010 after winning the Nuestra Belleza Jalisco pageant in 2009. Tickets are priced from 150 to 200 pesos.
