The Astros Femenil basketball team lost to the Adelitas de Chihuahua Wednesday to fall behind 1-2 in the best-of-seven final series of the National Women’s Professional Basketball League.
In the 81-73 defeat, the Guadalajara-based team missed nine of their 19 free throws, and made only 10 of 19 three-point attempts. The Astros’ Arica Carter was the game’s top scorer, contributing 21 points.
Game four was scheduled Thursday, July 14 at the Astros Stadium in Guadalajara.
