Colima beers mark US-Mexico bicentennial

Two beers made by Cervecería de Colima, a craft brewery in Jalisco’s neighboring state, now carry special labels celebrating the 200 years of bilateral relations between Mexico and the United States: Cayaco, a Mexican lager, and Páramo, an American pale ale.

The small design on the top right corner of the label “depicts the closeness and brotherhood between the two countries,” notes a post on the United States Consulate’s Facebook page.

Consul General Eliza-Al Laham (above, center), along with officers from the Guadalajara diplomatic mission, seems to have obtained a good supply of the two brews, which each retail for 56 pesos a bottle, according to the Cervecería de Colima website. Salud!
