The Guadalajara city center will beat to a host of different musical sounds and genres Saturday, June 8, for the annual Fiesta de la Musica sponsored by the Alliance Française, Guadalajara city hall and a few other local groups.
Four stages will be erected, two of them on the Paseo Alcalde pedestrian walkway in front of the Rotunda and Plaza de Armas. The others will be in the Jardin de la Reforma, and the Cafe Benito of the Larva cultural complex on Avenida Vallarta.
Musical performances will take place at all the venues, nonstop from 4 to 10 p.m.
The Plaza de Armas stage schedule offers the most sedate program, with a Rondalla (choir) performing at 4 p.m., a string ensemble at 5 p.m., a banda de musica at 6 p.m., and the Orquesta Metropolitana de Guadalajara at 7:20 p.m.
The other stages will host alternative, electronic, rock, pop and other genres of music.
