Outstanding photomultas, or speeding violations detected by cameras on Jalisco roads, must be paid when renewing the annual vehicle registration (refrendo). Online payments made during January and February will include a 40-percent discount on these fines.
According to state authorities, the roads with the highest number of violations in the first ten months of 2024 were the city’s Periférico (ring road) with 357,877 infractions, Avenida López Mateos with 108,482, and Avenida Vallarta with 101,376. Speeding violations on these three thoroughfares accounted for 41 percent of the total 1.35 million infractions recorded during this period.
