Crazed knifeman kills two at city university campus

Two women died Wednesday in an unprovoked knife attack by a young man at a private university campus in Guadalajara, the kind of violent incident rarely seen at Mexican educational institutions, although, unfortunately, now somewhat commonplace in the United States.

Body found

After a ten-day search, rescuers have retrieved the body of José Luis Díaz Morales, the missing Jalisco mountaineer from a recent expedition to the Pico de Orizaba, Mexico’s highest peak. Díaz Morales was among a group of 12 Jaliscienses who encountered adverse weather conditions on the mountain.
