Quetzalcoatl emerges as Chapala forges ahead on urban renewal

The shadow of the Maya snake god Kukulkan will be seen descending the face of the pyramid temple at Chichen Itza under the brilliant afternoon of this month’s spring equinox. Chapala raises new flag

Scores of school kids joined local officials for the debut of a giant flag raised outside Chapala City Hall early Wednesday, February 24 to commemorate Mexico’s Día de la Bandera.

The brand new national banner measures eight by three meters, in proportion to the 15-meter tall flag pole where it will fly on all dates dictated by federal law.

Mobile unit issues driver’s licenses

Dozens of Chapala government employees lined up at the local police station Tuesday, February 16 to take advantage of a mobile unit set up by Jalisco’s Secretaria de Movilidad (Transportation Department) for the issuance driver’s permits.

Fleet-footed canines to show off their moves
