Air Strike

If you like historical dramas, then you may enjoy this WWII action adventure. It follows five different Chinese soldiers trying to protect an important military machine in Chongqing, China. At the same time, they’re trying to survive ambushes from the Japanese airforce in 1940 during the height of the conflict. Things may get bloody. Director: Xiao Feng. Starring: Bruce Willis, Adrien Brody and Ye Liu. Rating: R. Time: 1:37.

Spy Cat

Marnie plays your not-so-typical house cat. Although he may be naive and not allowed to leave the house, he just so happens to be the leader of some quirky “antihero” group on the run. These include a chicken, a donkey, and a dog. Director: Christoph Lauenstein and Wolfgang Lauenstein. Starring: Erik Borner, Alexandra Neldel and Axel Prahl. Rated: G. Time: 1:32.

Pokémon Detective Pikachu

Not all Pokémon want to battle. In this film rendition of the hit animated series, a young boy discovers an eloquent Pikachu determined to be a detective. Set in a futuristic metropolitan city reminiscent to Toyko, expect some cameos from other beloved Pokémon favorites such as  Psyduck, Charizard and Snorlax. Director: Rob Letterman. Starring: Ryan Reynolds, Justice Smith and Kathryn Newton. Rating: PG. Time: 1:44.
