UB40
Iconic UK reggae band formed in December 1978 in Birmingham, best known on the American continent for the classic “Red, Red Wine,” in concert. One of the most commercially successful reggae acts in history in terms of record sales (over 70 million), UB40 still comprises four of its eight original members: drummer Jimmy Brown, guitarist Robin Campbell, bassist Earl Falconer, percussionist Norman Hassan and saxophonist Brian Travers.

Georgian National Ballet
For more than seven decades, the Sukhishvili Georgian National Ballet has been Georgia’s cultural ambassador to the world, combining the majesty of folklore with the refined technique of classical ballet. New York All Stars
Jazz legends, Yes Trio!, is made up of three exceptional musicians: Ali Jackson Jr. (drums), from a family of African-American musicians in Detroit; Omer Avital (bass) of Moroccan and Yemeni descent; and Aaron Goldberg (piano), a Boston native who dedicated himself to jazz after studying philosophy at Harvard. United by 30 years of friendship and a shared love of swing, the three musicians blend their experiences to create a unique sound.

Met Opera
A new season of New York Met opera simulcasts begins with La Sonnambula, a new production under the direction of famed Mexican tenor Rolando Villazón. He retains the opera’s original setting in the Swiss Alps but uses its somnambulant plot to explore the emotional and psychological valleys of the mind. Nadine Sierra summits another peak of the soprano repertoire as Amina. La Sonnambula was composed by Vincenzo Bellini, with a libretto by Felice Romani.

Chamber Orchestra
The Higinio Ruvalcaba Chamber Orchestra performs “Ocho por radio” by Silvestre Revueltas, Mozart’s Piano Sonata No. 24 in C minor and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 1 in C major. Erik Cortés, a full-time professor at the UdeG Faculty of Music who played to much acclaim at venues throughout Mexico and abroad, is the invited pianist.

Giselle
The professional Ballet de Monterrey troupe presents Giselle, a two-act romantic ballet about a peasant girl who dies of heartbreak after discovering her lover, a nobleman, is engaged to another woman. The ballet, which features a haunting and emotionally resonant score composed by Adolphe Adam, premiered in 1841 at the Paris Opera.
