Theater

• The Redes y Cantos de Chapala Chorus and the comunitario Revolutosas theater group will present a version of “Sganarelle, or, the Self-Deceived Husband (Cornudo Imaginario, in Spanish)” by Molière, Tuesday, December 16, at the Centro para la Cultura y las Artes de la Ribera (CCAR). The one-act comedy was authored in the mid-17th century during the French classical period. Free entrance.

Holiday art and crafts

• The Lake Chapala Society invites the entire Lakeside community to celebrate the magic of the holiday season at its annual Christmas Market on Friday and Saturday, December 5 and 6, from 11 to 5 p.m. Over 80 vendors will display their unique gifts, handicrafts, hand-crafted pottery and embroidery, festive seasonal decorations, original artwork, jewelry, textiles and knitted items.  A special highlight of the market is the LCS Children’s Art Program Christmas Cards — beautiful, creative cards designed by local young artists, with proceeds supporting art education at Lakeside.

• Centro Cultural Ajijic presents a collective exhibition featuring painting, sculpture, graphic art and photography by dozens of local artists. The show opens with music, cocktails and appetizers on Friday, November 14, 5 p.m.

Ribera Arts Review - November 8, 2025

Maestros del Arte

The Feria Maestros del Arte opens Friday, November 7 and runs through Sunday, November 9 at the Hotel Real de Chapala, Paseo del Prado 20 in lower La Floresta.  Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is a donation of 100 pesos.
