UdG Ballet Folklorico
The renowned Universidad de Guadalajara folk dance troupe continues its summer/fall season with four more shows in October. There’s never a dull moment watching these accomplished dancers. Patrons will see new chorography and costumes to mark the troupe’s 50th anniversary.

Canadian circus arts troupe Cirque du Soleil brings “Toruk – The First Flight” – a multi-media spectacle inspired by James Cameron’s film “Avatar” – to the VFG Arena for four shows February 10, 11 and 12, 2017. The story revolves around three young characters on a quest to find talismans that allow them to save their culture. Tickets from 400 to 1,800 pesos will soon be available through Ticketmaster. The VFG Arena is on the Guadalajara-Chapala highway, midway between the two locations.
A series of terror classics from Universal Studios is on the bill each Friday in October at the Ex-Convento del Carmen (Avenida Juarez 635, one block from Federalismo). Show times are 4, 6 and 8 p.m. Tickets at 25 pesos.
