Thanks & Giving

In the week when millions of North Americans are focused of gorging themselves on roast turkey and all the trimmings, it might be perfect time to seriously think about the bounty represented by the annual Thanksgiving holiday

pg16On Sunday my family and I attended the closing matinee of Bravo Theater’s “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown.” It was a polished and heart-felt performance by the actors. I returned home grateful for lakeside’s vibrant theatre troupes and all the people who give their time and talents for the enjoyment of others.

Monday I was thankful that the work week started off with clear skies and sunny weather. Mother Nature is so benevolent is giving us such as wonderful place to live and enjoy the lakeside’s magnificent natural surroundings.

Tuesday I was thankful for the endless free entertainment found on local Facebook sites. Today it was a debate on the quality of Mexican eggs, the OP plus 156  responses accumulated in the space of two hours as I sipped the first coffee of the day. A week or so ago it was the soap opera that went viral on various sites about the Canadian real estate couple who have a history of berating and kicking out guests at their B&B. FB users are so generous in giving their opinions on any subject regardless of whether they are factually accurate and kind to other posters.
