GDL Democrats in holiday mood

Some 50-plus Democrats Abroad GDL Chapter members, family and friends came together to celebrate their country’s 246th anniversary of Independence with picnic fare, a chili cookoff competition and piñatas of both the other political party and a certain orange-haired former U.S. president.

Consul General hosts Guadalajara bash

Local author honored for service worldwide

Michael Hogan, an Irish American historian and educator living in Guadalajara, has been selected by the Irish Echo Team as a 2022 Community Champion for his work with the online community of students worldwide.

Hogan to speak at American School

Historian Michael Hogan will present a talk on similarities between the situation in Ukraine and the histories of Mexico and Ireland on Tuesday, March 15, 6 p.m. in the Upper Library of the American School Foundation of Guadalajara (Colomos 2300).
