La Mision is offering a menu of corn soup or Waldorf salad, corn break, boneless turkey, mashed potatoes, veggies, stuffing, gravy and cranberry sauce. La Nueva Posada does it right with a vegetable crudité platter, tomato bisque Pernod, biscuits, roast turkey, sage stuffing, whole cranberry sauce, giblet gravy, candied yams with roasted pecans, sweet and sour Danish red cabbage, English peas, spicy pumpkin pie with vanilla cream, coffee, tea and liquor for your coffee. Los Telares serves a Thanksgiving buffet with roast turkey, turkey tarts with creamed onions, cream of pumpkin, buttered green beans with almonds, baked glazed vegetables, maple carrots, mashed sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, cranberry gravy, mushroom gravy, a salad bar and a dessert bar with one drink included for 250 pesos. Panino begins early: 11 a.m. until sold out. The menu is turkey, mashed potatoes with gravy, cornbread dressing, green beans, sweet potatoes and cranberry sauce for 165 pesos. No reservations.
Roberto’s offers fresh crab bisque au Cognac, a holiday salad of red and white wine aspic with grapes and a Marscapone topping, roast turkey with all the trimmings or cured baked ham or salmon au artichoke, and for dessert, pumpkin praline pie with fresh ginger mousse and an amaretto fizz. 2 to 7 p.m. for 250 pesos per person. St. Remy Du Lac serves a five-course meal of “amuse bouche,” Thanksgiving salad of nuts, fruit, wild rice and lemon dress, creamy butternut squash soup with nutmeg, turkey breast Wellington with a three-meat cranberry stuffing or traditional roast turkey with a three meat stuffing and gravy, apple-pumkin strudel and amaretto cream starting at 6 p.m. for 750 pesos. If you absolutely must cook your own dinner then don’t forget Puritan Poultry’s turkeys and great selection of imported T-day necessities. Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday in Riberas del Pilar. Call 765-4399 to reserve your bird. Specialty cheeses and cuts for your party platters can be found at Lilifher Delicatessen at Colon 19, just a few doors off the Ajijic Plaza. Speaking of wine, stop into La Paz Liquors in San Antonio to see what Purely Canadian International has brought in from afar.
