Bridge players compete on several different levels. First is the local club where the players compete against their friends and neighbors.
The competition is present, but not at the same level as higher competitions. Second is the sectional tournament where players from other clubs come to compete. Pre-Covid a sectional tournament would have a couple of dozen or more tables with four players per table. The next level is the regional tournament. The next regional is in Puerto Vallarta from Monday, October 31, to Sunday, November 6. Several players from the Lake Chapala Duplicate Bridge Club plan to attend this event, where there will be players from all over Mexico with quite a few from the U. S. and Canada. It is exciting to meet new people and compete against them.
We hope you will join us at our local club on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1:30 p.m. and Fridays at 9:30 a.m. with a lesson beforehand at 9 a.m. at the Lake Chapala Duplicate Bridge Center located next door to Mom’s Deli.
