Recovered drug addicts regale students with life stories

The Chapala Sunrise Rotary Club was delighted with the strong turnout and participation in its Drug Education Project “Viviendo en Libertad” (Choose Freedom from Drugs), in which 2,500 children aged 10-16, from approximately 16 schools, were presented with life stories by recovered addicts from the Reintegracion Land treatment center run by Gaby Nuñez and Ulises de Los Angeles.

Christ Church Lakeside, formally Christ Church Episcopal, an Anglican/Episcopal mission of the Diocese of the West in the Anglican Church of Mexico, will observe the First Sunday After Pentecost, Trinity Sunday, May 27, with the Holy Eucharist at 10 a.m. in the La Huerta Eventos Center, Carretera West 522, West Ajijic. CASA keeps up pace over summer months

Although the number of members has dropped from a high of 60 a few months ago to about 35 at the most recent meeting of the Culinary Arts Society of Ajijic (CASA), Monday, May 21, there was still a hearty feast prepared by seven home chefs and six delicious pies to sample.
