Min Wah has been a Lakeside landmark for 25 years as the place to hit for great Chinese food.
In fact, it just celebrated this anniversary serving fine Chinese food and gathering an impressive legion of Lakeside followers for breakfast, lunch or dinner. And I recommend that one try each of the daily meals. After all, it was Confucius who conjured up the idea of and advocated three meals a day – of breakfast, lunch and dinner – 2,000 years ago. I don’t know what Confucius said about snacking.
Min Wah’s following has been accomplished by bringing fresh and freshly made dishes to every table every time. Its menu is encyclopedic in terms of the variety of authentic Chinese offerings, from Mandarin to Cantonese to Szechuan and more. For lunch and dinner, there are over 90 offerings, not counting the chef’s specials, such as General Tsso’s Chicken (yes, a chicken dish named after a general), Cantonese Chow Mein, Tofu Szechuan with ground pork, Peking Duck and ten other exotic recipes. If you love Chinese, Min Wah is a dining experience where you can go all in and have a different dish every day for several months.
