The Jalisco Sin Hambre initiative to distribute food parcels, meals and essential supplies to the needy is set to continue regardless of how the health emergency evolves.
Originally planned to run through October, the program will operate indefinitely, José Luis González Íñigo, president of the Jalisco Food Bank, announced this week.
The initiative unites government agencies; the private sector; civil society; and religious, academic and social assistance institutions to provide essential supplies to vulnerable citizens in Jalisco who have been economically affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
