Assaulting bank clients who have just made large withdrawals has become one of the most popular crimes in metro-area Guadalajara this year.
In the latest incident reported this week, two assailants didn’t even wait until the customer had exited the branch to carry out their nefarious deed.
The two gunmen threatened the client as he opened the glass door to leave the bank moments after withdrawing 127,000 pesos in cash. The incident at a branch located on Contreras Medellin in downtown Guadalajara under the nose of an unarmed security guard who was helpless to respond. The two assailants fled on a motorcycle.
