President Claudia Sheinbaum has joined the chorus of outrage following the shocking shooting of a woman in Guadalajara last weekend, captured on video surveillance.
The video shows an attacker, armed with an AR-15 rifle, fatally shooting a woman in the head at point-blank range outside a house in the Balcones de Oblatos neighborhood.
The woman, identified only as Carla, was reportedly lured out of her home by a phone call from the assailant. In the footage, Carla confronts the attacker armed with a broken broom and a sharp object. After a brief exchange, the attacker opens the rear door of his Chevrolet Equinox, retrieves an AR-15 rifle, and fires two shots at the ground in an intimidating manner. He points the weapon at Carla’s head and fires, killing her almost instantly. He then flees the scene in his vehicle.
