A field of approximately 120 mariners will set sail in Lake Chapala next weekend during the three day run of the Copa Porsche Regatta.
The sporting event will be based at Chapala’s Club de Yates, beginning the morning of Friday, February 19, continuing through Sunday. Exact starting times will be determined according to prevailing wind conditions.
The regatta will comprise competition in various age and vessel categories, including Optimist, Laser STD, Laser Radial, C420, Sailboard and Cabin classes.
While admission to the Yacht Club grounds is limited to participants and invited guests, spectators should be able to keep an eye on the action from the waterfront Malecón.
