“Good afternoon. My name is Bob” were the words pronounced by instructor Bob Dietz April 5 as he kicked off an English-language study program designed for the men and women serving with Chapala’s municipal police force.
Groups of about 25 officers will be rotated every eight weeks, attending two classes per week to complete the eight-week introductory level course created by Dietz and his wife Sue. The program is sponsored by the Lake Chapala Society under a cooperative agreement with the local government.
