Waldo’s Dólar Mart de México, a chain of low-cost merchandise outlets first introduced in Tijuana, Baja California in 1999, is now rapidly expanding to new markets throughout the country.
The firm’s management opened its first store in Chapala on Wednesday, August 2, located on Avenida Madero next door to City Hall in the north annex of the former Hotel Nido.
Plans are in the works to open another branch in Ajijic at an undisclosed address. Waldo’s stores sell a variety of national and imported products, including grocery supplies, clothing and seasonal novelty items.
At present, there are 18 Waldo’s outlets located in the Guadalajara metropolitan area.
