Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on Tuesday that the federal government will focus on “fully vaccinated” Canadians when the time comes to begin relaxing travel and other restrictions.
Several media outlets reported that the Canadian government is “crafting plans to loosen the current 14-day isolation period for border-crossers who’ve had two vaccine doses.” Trudeau has previously mentioned a 75 percent vaccination rate as a key threshold for reopening the border. More than 60 percent of Canadians have received a first dose with about eight percent fully vaccinated, according to the Seattle Times.
