Hallowed grounds come to life for Day of the Dead

The hushed aura that prevails at lakeside area cemeteries through most of the year dissipates over the final days of October as local inhabitants prepare to honor the dearly departed.

Folks pick up their tools and head out to the Camposanto (hallowed ground) to spruce up family burial plots where they will soon gather in remembrance of lost loved ones.
