Longtime Lakeside resident Gilbert “Gil” Silverman died September 5 in the El Paraiso Convalescent Home in La Floresta, where he had resided for several months. He was 79 years old.
Della Marie Sanchez of Ajijic died in a Guadalajara hospital on September 6 at the age of 77.

She was born July 21, 1975, in Chapala and attended Preparatoria there until her last two years of school, when she finished high school in Oakland, California.
Longtime Lakeside resident Nancy Cheney Savon died in her Ajijic home on August 26 at the age of 68.
Ajijic resident Raoul Schreiden passed away on July 15. He was 88 years old.
