Huichol pavilion opens

A pavilion dedicated to the Wixárika (Huichol) indigenous culture has been installed on Guadalajara’s Paseo Alcalde, between the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Guadalupe temple and the federal building (home to the Mexican Immigration Institute).


Downtown debuts fairground ride

Just in time for Guadalajara’s 481st birthday celebrations on February 14, an eagerly anticipated carousel (or merry-go-round) finally saw the light of day in the city center’s Jardin de la Reforma (on Avenida Alcalde facing the Museo de Periodismo).
