Fitch upgrades Jalisco’s debt rating

Moody’s, Fitch Ratings and HR Rating have raised Jalisco’s credit rating from BBB to A, an indication that the state government has overcome the financial difficulties that led to a default on a 1.4-billion peso debt in December 2012. 

Women at the forefront

Businesswomen from the Lake Chapala Region welcomed Jalisco Instituto de las Mujeres President Mariana Fernández Ramírez (in center at photo to the right) to their monthly breakfast meeting held in Ajijic on July 11. A new home for innovative minds

Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto dropped into Guadalajara this week to cut the ribbon on a unique facility that will serve as a focal point for the development of innovative technology-and design- oriented projects in Jalisco.
