One more reason to visit Plaza Mexico in Guadalajara: the mall is hosting an exhibit of classic antique cars through the end of the month.
Among the dozen or so pristine vehicles showcased are a Ford Model A (above), the second huge success for the Ford Motor Company, after its predecessor, the Model T. Manufactured between 1928–1931, the car was available in four standard colors and came with a basic price tag of US$500. In total, Ford produced 4,858,644 Model As.
Other models featured include (above) a 1924 Dodge Brothers Coach.
And a beautiful, top-of-the-range 1956 Cadillac El Dorado Convertible.
Plaza Mexico is located at Avenida Mexico and Aztecas. The covered mall has a Wal-Mart, Suburbia, Actinver Bank branch, Starbucks and many speciality stores.
