Magic Town assembly prompts fervent discussion

The public assembly called by Comité Ciudadano Ajijic Pueblo Mágico attracted a small but vocal audience of around 20 village residents who expressed concerns about living conditions in the town, deficient public services, and negative impacts that might arise from increased tourism and urban development.

Neill James legacy project on horizon

Neill James, the Mississippi-born world traveler and author who settled in Ajijic in the 1940s, is revered among townspeople as the benefactor who founded the first library and art programs for local children and became patroness to a number of promising young artists whose professional careers arose from those projects.
