At the Zapopan Integrative Services Centre (CISZ), a vast, sloping plaza and series of walkways are vibrantly adorned with one of the region’s most accessible public art displays.
Visitors can thank Francisco Quiroz Carranza, founder and general director of Art21Studio, for this eye-catching installation. Open and free to the public through the end of June, the exhibition invites people to admire and even purchase displayed works. CISZ is located at the corner of Blvd. Panamericano and Prolongacion Laureles.
Quiroz’s focus now shifts to Ajijic, where preparations are underway at Casa Del Sol Inn, which has rebranded itself as “Casa Del Sol Inn Gallery & Bar.” While the inn’s lobby bar has long been a popular spot known for its margaritas, the lobby itself has been home to numerous local art displays and receptions. The space regularly showcases different artworks, allowing guests to experience and purchase pieces that contribute to keeping the local art scene vibrant.
