• The Gil Rios Quintet will present their new album “El Paisajista” in an intimate concert that combines, jazz, beats and electronic sounds Friday, June 20, 6:30 p.m. at La Puerta Azul, Carr. Ote. 57, Ajjic (in front of Pemex). Musicians include Tzintzuni Varela, Eleazar Soto, Christian Mimenez and Gillermo Nuñez. Silk painting workshop

The event, Saturday, June 21, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., is at Inspire Colab, in front of the main plaza in San Antonio Tlayacapan.
Explore your creativity through a fascinating technique—perfect for reconnecting with yourself in a peaceful, introspective space. You’ll create a sketch inspired by your emotions and learn to use textile watercolor on silk to bring a unique, functional piece of art to life. All materials are included.

Kids stuff
• Centro Cultural Ajijic (CCA) offers Saturday art workshops for kids with instructor Victor Larios. Painting (minimum age six) runs from 10 a.m. to noon.
