Covid testing is growing in demand in Jalisco, with cases and deaths surging perhaps fourfold since just a few months ago and with the United States now joining Canada in requiring all incoming air travelers to show proof of a recent, negative test. The United States is accepting (and airlines are checking) documentation for two types of diagnostic tests—molecular/PCR or antigen—both of which include several sub-varieties and indicate active disease. Canada, in partial contrast, has required diagnostic tests for months, but accepts only those under the molecular/PCR banner, and not those in the antigen classification.
