The Jalisco Astros continued their inauspicious start to the Mexican National Basketball League (LNBP) season, losing twice on the road to the Mexico City Capitanes last week by margins of 80-96 and 70-82.
The new franchise fought back to win the first of a two-game home series against the Abejas de Leon Monday, October 1 by a score of 80-75. However, they went down 77-81 the following day to share the series. After six games, the Astros are 2-4 and in sixth place in the nine-team LNBP Western Conference standings.
The Astros play two games in Aguascalientes October 5 and 6, before retuning to Guadalajara for home games against the Libertadores de Queretero October 10 and 13.
