After a disappointing 0-3 defeat to the Pumas of Mexico City last weekend, the Guadalajara Chivas ended their interest in  the Liga Mx 2023 Apetura soccer championship.

The team had flattered to deceive following a 1-0 win in the first game of the two-leg quarter final in Guadalajara on November 30.

Some pundits are saying the loss to Pumas jeopardizes the job of the Chivas’ multi-lingual Serbian coach Veljko Paunović, who took the team to the final of the 2023 Clausura tournament in May.º
