If you’re looking for a unique and heartfelt way to celebrate Valentine’s Day, don’t miss the February 14 fundraiser for Mama Cleo’s Boys Home at Scallion Ajijic Bistro, starting at 7 p.m.
The “All We Need is Love” event will feature dinner service along with live musical entertainment by Lake Chapala’s superband, The Romeos.
The Valentine’s menu is infused with love, offering a choice of main courses: ratatouille-style stuffed pork tenderloin with honey mustard glaze or chicken Florentina with spinach, sundried tomatoes, and mushrooms in brandy peppercorn cream. Both dishes come with sides of vegetables, mashed potatoes, and a delectable house dessert.
Tickets are priced at 600 pesos per person and are selling quickly. For reservations, contact Alex Bernardino at 33-1118-8290, or Scallion at 376-766-2301 or 33-2598-6705.
Bernardino is the director and board president of Mama Cleo’s Boys Home A.C. (MCBH), a non-profit civil association registered with the National System of Integral Family Development (DIF). He and his parents first became involved in the care of homeless and displaced children as volunteers at Chapala’s Love in Action Home for Girls from 2008 to 2015.
