Flamenco Weekend Axixic

A flamenco concert at the Auditorio de la Ribera on Saturday, October 5, 6 p.m. features dancers Aida Morales, Paulina Ruiz, Elena Barbosa and Leonor Zertuche moving to the rhythms of Isla, Muñoz, bassist Gil Rios and percussionist Emilia Galvez.

Talented musicians of different genres showcased each Monday. September 9: The Juan Castañón jazz trio. September 16: Dans les Arbres, a French-Norwegian jazz/folk combo. September 23: Homage to three Latin American trova greats: Silvio Rodríguez, Pablo Milanés and Amaury Pérez.  Interpreted by Tapatia singer Marissa, along with invited musicians. September 30: Ensamble Supercluster (chamber music quintet).

Franz Liszt Romance

A concert of piano and voice by mezzosoprano Valeria Navarro and pianist Samuel Armas will be held at the Centro Cultural Gonzalez Gallo, Friday, September 6, 7 p.m. Admission: 150 pesos.
