Help choose LLT plays
The Lakeside Little Theatre (LLT) board of directors is looking for volunteers to serve on play-reading committees responsible for selecting and recommending shows to be staged as part of Season 62 (2026-2027). There are two distinct committees, one focusing on plays and the other on musicals.

• Carlos Arancibia gives a free guitar concert, 6:30 p.m. at the Centro Cultural Gonzalez Gallo in Chapala.
Mariachi
Mariachi Nuevo Chapala celebrates its 7th anniversary with a concert at Terraza Los Cipreses, Ajijic, on Friday, June 6, 8 p.m. Tickets are 500 pesos. Reserve at 331-362-1986.
Student artists exhibit
The Efrén González Children’s Art Program has announced an exhibition of artwork created by its talented young artists, to be held at the Ajijic Cultural Center on the Ajijic Plaza.

FRIDAY
• The Escarabajo Blues Band will perform on Friday, May 23 at Casa del Sol Inn. Led by vocalist and guitarist Eric Slim Miller, the quintet’s repertoire spans the classic Blues pioneers from the Delta to Chicago.
Youth theater group
Pequeños Creadores, a youth theater ensemble from Tonalá, will perform at Lakeside Little Theatre Saturday, May 17, with shows at 4 and 6:30 p.m. to raise funds for its trip to the 16th World Festival of Children’s Theater in Germany (Each of the group’s 10 performers will need to raise $US1,785 for the trip).

• The Ajijic Museo de Arte will host a new exhibition Sunday, May 11, 3 p.m. Privada Flores Magon 3A, West Ajijic.
