LCS Mexican Fiesta
The Lake Chapala Society will hold a Mexican Fiesta Friday, September 5, 3 p.m. with food, ballet folkorico, mariachi and sayacas. Tickets, 500 pesos, including food and show, are available at the LCS office. Drinks sold separately. This event is organized by the Ajijic Fiestas Patrias Committee as a fundraiser to help cover expenses for the town’s Independence Day celebrations.

Centro Educativo Jaltepec

Graduating Jaltepec students with Linda Buckthorp and Bernie St. Louis. On Saturday, August 16, Centro Educativo Jaltepec held a moving graduation ceremony for the 2023–2025 class of 12 students in the Technical University Degree in Hospitality and Hotel Management. The event took place at the school’s auditorium, now officially named the Linda Buckthorp Auditorium in recognition of her 25+ years of service and leadership as Community Facilitator. A commemorative plaque was unveiled as a tribute to her lasting impact on the lives of so many.
