In December, Nuevo Vallarta was brimming with culinary delights, all in the name of charity.
Numerous Bucerias and La Cruz restaurants are offering Christmas and New Year’s Eve dinners.
The 13th annual Chili Cookoff will be held on the Marina Nuevo Vallarta malecon on Saturday, December 7, from 4-8 p.m.
Change in ownership
Bucerias-based baby furniture rental business Lots for Tots is under new ownership as of last month. New owners Jennifer Davies and Laurie Predon purchased the business from another Bucerias family, Leanne and Steve Sunderland, who ran it for a year-and-a-half but are moving back north.
A smaller PEACE
It would be a vast understatement to say that community leaders in the northshore were caught off-guard by the news of the demise of PEACE (Protection and Education, Animals, Culture and Environment) and its reincarnation as PEACE Punta de Mita, prompting the end of its community programs in La Cruz, Bucerias and other small towns.
Fundraiser for seniors
A fundraiser at Philo’s Bar and Restaurant in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle will contribute toward operating funds for the La Cruz Senior Center for the current year. The event is set for Wednesday, March 27, 7 p.m.
