Festival del Lago concerts
Students of the Festival del Lago Academy of Music will perform at the Old Hacienda del Lago, Saturday, August 10, 5 p.m. Solos performed by some of the students will be followed by the entire faculty performing Mendelsshohn’s epic Octet for Strings.
CREM chamber orchestra
Emmanuel Medeles directs the Centro Regional de Estudios Musicales (CREM music school) chamber orchestra performing “Two Years, Eight Seasons in a Single Night,” featuring music by Vivaldi and Piazzolla, with soloist Maya Kilburn on violin, Friday, July 26, 7 p.m. at the Culture and Arts Center auditorium in La Floresta.

Artists connect
New York author Anita Anburajan and Boston fabric developer and fashion designer Christian Restrepo will be the featured creatives at the Artists Together salon series, Friday, July 12, 4 to 6 p.m. at 360XQ Summer House at Constitucion 94A in Ajijic.
