Freedom 250 may say it is “dedicated to uniting Americans around the nation’s 250th anniversary,” but the White House‑linked group appears to be having precisely the opposite effect.
What should have been a rare, unifying moment for a deeply polarized America is rapidly devolving into yet another partisan battleground. The 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence — a milestone worthy of genuine reflection and collective pride — is being squandered, many Americans say, and turned into a vehicle to feed one man’s ego.
